We have nearly 50 members, whooooo! Still working on getting a promotional banner together and finding some places to pimp it out, so I'd say that's pretty good for starters. When the banner is done, I will share so we can all spread it around and hopefully watch this place grow.

Also, if you haven't heard of Jaegercon yet, I thought I'd inform you of this awesome thing taking place. Looking forward to seeing all the fanworks that come out of it.

And lastly, I don't think we've had a problem with any submissions being too messed up, but just some simple posting guidelines to keep things organized and clear up any possible confusion.

If you're posting meta and linking to it externally, please be sure to include a summary. If it's posted directly to the community, please put long posts under a cut.

For story and art/vids/mixes, be sure to post a title, rating, characters/pairings, any warnings that might apply, a short summary, and a link to the work. Summary: Tendo doesn’t sleep much, but there are good things about being awake for so many hours at a time. His job is to make sure everything’s under control and running smoothly. He can at least get a lot more done this way.

Dress For Success – An Analysis Of The Pacific Rim Costume Designs

This one I found today via Tumblr.

I've talked about them in my lj, but I was wondering what you guys thought about them. Had you guys noticed these visual cues while you were watching the movie? Do seeing them amassed together like this change how you think about any aspect of it? Do they affect how you think about the characters and their arcs?

I see it on tumblr, for example, how people post about the Wei triplets in the background of the training scene as an interesting characterization moment. This raises the question of what other interesting things lurking behind what's happening directly in front of us. I giggled at the gifs of Mako's bitchface as she was listening to Newt talk about Kaiju.
